It must be winter

Today has been the most horrible, terribly wet and windy winters day...

...but I saved the orchids before the rain, the wind (or the ants) got to them.

I will just bunk down  in front of the fire with some needle work (in two words, cause I am not actually stitching, but it is needle related so that kind of counts).

Hope the outside is more pleasant where you are.

Anna

  1. For a wonder, it actually *is* nice here and we've been enjoying a heatwave for a week already! No let up in sight either, with 34C forecast for Tuesday. Whew! Not bad for Britain!! I can finally get out all the summer clothes that I used to wear all the time when I was studying Chinese in Taiwan back in 2009/10 and wear them here!=)

Having said that, it feels rather too hot to stitch, but I'm trying a bit here and there. I've got my fancy sampler back in progress and have some better shots of a Helen M Stevens' piece I did 5 years ago scheduled to show on Saturday. Hope you'll come and look.=)

    Greetings from the UK.=)

    1. I don't mind the cooler weather, really - it is the wind that drives me crazy. Enjoy the summer weather.

  3. Oh Anna, I would take your weather over ours right now any day. Recently I have been so nostalgic for the grey foggy days of my time in San Francisco. There's no better excuse to stay inside and sew!
